Bile in the Afterlife and Living With The Savage These two plays by instructor Dawson Moore have had numerous previous productions prior to their Alaskan premieres. Bile in the Afterlife won an award at the 1998 Last Frontier Theatre Conference, leading to its premiere performance by Kokopelli Theatre Company in Alaska. It went on to subsequent productions in San Francisco, Livermore, Peoria, Reston, and Bologne, Italy. It is published by 3WM Press, as is Living with the Savage (http://www.threewisemonkeys.org/boa/book.html). The shows, along with the full-length play LibidOFF, are part of a trilogy chronicling the battles of Bile versus the world. In Savage, he fights against his new step-father, a loin-cloth wearing, spear-carrying savage; in LibidOFF, it is against his own sex drive; and in the final play, Bile in the Afterlife, he decides to remark the afterworld in a corporate structure he finds more satisfying than that of the ancient Egyptians who actually rule there. |
