Outdoor Recreation & Equipment Loan
Ski for Free is back at the PWSCC Wellness Center this winter. Cross country skate and classic style skis, boots, and poles, as well as snowshoes, headlamps, gps units, and gaiters are available for FREE checkout to the community. Sign up at the beginning of the season and enjoy a new and improved checkout process all winter. Ski for Free is supported by a partnership with the Sound Wellness Alliance Network (SWAN).
This year’s gear features fun for the whole family, with boots ranging in size from a kid’s size 9 to a men’s size 14.
Checkouts will start as soon as Parks and Rec has enough snow to start grooming our amazing trails. Contact the Wellness Center for more information– 834-1684!
Conditions of Gear Rental
All gear is free of charge for the first 2 days and is due by 3:00pm on the second day. Each additional day will incur a rental fee at the rental rates listed below. Telephone extensions of the free loan are not allowed. If the Wellness Center is closed for a holiday on the regular due date, the loan is extended, and the equipment is due no later than 3:00pm on the next business day.

GPS package includes: 1 GPS unit, 1 pair gaiters, 1 headlamp
Borrowers who fail to return equipment, or who return equipment in a condition that makes it unusable, will incur a fee of up to $400.00 to cover replacement of lost/damaged items. Borrowers with fees assessed against them are ineligible to borrow additional equipment until all fines are paid.
