PWSCC Archery

Established January 2009

Prince William Sound Community College is proud to be the first and only COLLEGIATE ARCHERY CLUB in Alaska approved by US Collegiate Archery (USCA). USCA is the national organization which governs Collegiate Archery. PWSCC Archery promotes Olympic style target archery, 3D target archery and other arrow sports, including Bowhunting.

The PWSCC Archery Club is open to all students, faculty, staff and the Valdez Community. We offer student leadership opportunities in Club/Organizational Governance, Collegiate Archery Team Participation, Local & National Competition, Youth Programs, Community Events, and Public Service.

PWSCC Archery Programs include archery courses for credit in Physical Education/Recreation along with certificates in Bowhunter Education and NASP Basic Archery Instructor. From time to time, the college also offers special interest classes in string making, basic bow tuning and other archery related topics.

Our Goal:

  • Establish a winning tradition at PWSCC in archery, academics and in life.
  • Grow collegiate archery in Alaska & the University of Alaska system.
  • Promote archery as a healthy activity for everyone in our community to enjoy.
