Congratulations, you have your high school diploma or GED and you’re ready to start college? We want to make it as easy as possible for you to adjust to college. No matter your age or place in life, starting college is an exciting time and we can’t wait to be part of your new experience. Below are some helpful instructions to guide you through the admissions process; if there is something else you need but can’t seem to find, the Student Services Staff is here for you. Before you apply
As a first year student at PWSCC admissions is simple. We have an open door admissions policy; to you that means with your high school diploma or GED and all previous transcripts you are set to fill out and application! No ACT or SAT scores required, making it easier to help you stay stress free.
To apply, you will need to fill out the Application For Admission, have official copies of all previous transcripts, and your $25 application fee. All can be submitted to us at:

After you apply
Once your application and all its components are complete you will be notified by email to update you that all parts of your admissions application have been received and you will be informed of an admissions decision. Please be aware you may need to a placement test for English and Math skills to determine what level of classes you should start in.
Throughout the process
As you apply for admission, it is important to fill out all your financial aid information to help with the funding of your education. To be eligible for most financial aid opportunities you will need to fill out a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid,) make sure to use our school code on the application! Our code is 011462 (it is the same code as University of Alaska Anchorage.) You can find more information on student financial aid by going to our financial aid and scholarship pages.
