The Last Frontier Theatre Conference
The Last Frontier Theatre Conference takes place yearly in beautiful Valdez. Every year, the Conference creates a new community from the hundreds of attending playwrights, actors, directors, and theatre enthusiasts. While many participants come from Alaska, participating actors and playwrights are drawn to Valdez from all around the country and world. The dates for the upcoming Conference are June 10-16, 2012. Scholarship Fundraiser
The Annual Scholarship Fundraiser.Is held every February at the Valdez Civic Center. The Gala Evening begins with a reception. Followed by a delicious dinner and when time allows we end the evening with dancing. The auction is held in three parts; a silent auction, outcry auction and a balloon raffle for our larger ticket items. The donated items are displayed throughout the Valdez Civic Center and the students participate by walking among the audience with the current outcry bid items. Donations for the event come from all over the world featuring autographed sports memorabilia, autographed photos of stars, politicians and sports figures, special trips, Alaskan arts and crafts and quite alot of donations from local businesses. This is truly an extravaganza that also raises between 25 and 40 thousand dollars annually, all for the benefit of our students. Call 907-834-1600 for more information.

Relay For Life®. One day. One night. One community. Your Relay For Life® is about celebration, remembrance, and hope. By participating, you honor cancer survivors, pay tribute to the lives we’ve lost to the disease, and raise money to help fight it – all right here in your community. You won’t want to miss one moment of this life- and community-affirming event! On behalf of the American Cancer Society, PWSCC and all of Valdez, come join our team at 2012 Relay For Life of Valdez AK.
