Alyeska Pipeline Service Co.
The Prince William Sound Community College Health & Fitness Center is funded each year by a grant from the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company. PWSCC would like to express gratitude for the wonderful services Alyeska Pipeline Service Company provides for the community.
Since the early 1990s, Prince William Sound Community College has worked in partnership with Alyeska Pipeline Service Company to develop training programs to meet regulatory requirements and the special training needs of oil spill response and terminal operations in Port Valdez. In addition to a well-developed employee safety program, the Training Department facilitates development of new courses customized to meet Alyeska’s business objectives.
In conjunction with Alyeska’s Ship Escort and Response Vessel System (SERVS), the PWSCC facilitates annual specialized training for the crews of more than 350 fishing vessels designated to respond to an oil spill in Prince William Sound. Training is also provided in coastal communities throughout the region for wildlife rescue and rehabilitation.
