ANCHORAGE, AK – Prince William Sound Community College was recognized by the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) –Alaska Chapter, the professional association for design, with a “2012 Silver Award” for its recruitment brochure designed and produced by Solstice Advertising of Anchorage. The twist fold brochure features a catchy iconic map design with information about the college that is progressively revealed as the brochure is pulled out.
The award was announced at AIGA’s annual “Big One” show on Saturday, November 17, 2012. The event features the best work of the year from local graphic designers and advertising agencies in Alaska. Entries are reviewed and judged by other AIGA members from around the U.S.
PWSCC partnered with Solstice Advertising to create a brochure that would highlight the college’s distinct features and the active lifestyle it provides to students from around the world. With a goal to increase enrollment, the college is working to make prospective students aware of the unique educational offerings and no out-of-state tuition provided at PWSCC. By working with Solstice Advertising, PWSCC developed an award-winning brochure, with effective design and messaging that stands out among other materials at trade shows and events.
