New University Tool To Help Keep Students, Faculty, and Staff Safer

It is extremely important that the university be able to notify you in the event of an incident. At this time you are strongly encouraged to update your contact information in Blackboard Connect (BBC). This will help ensure that you receive potential lifesaving information timely.

We need everyone to log-in to BBC and submit their text phone number, and update other information such as a preferred e-mail, etc.  as needed ASAP.

Use the same login and password you use to sign into Blackboard.  It’s important to note that you do not login to Blackboard, but rather the Blackboard Connect (BBC) portal to update your information and opt-in/update your information.   Take a minute to review the “Quick Start guide” and the “User Manual for creating your profile” links to the right of the large Orange User Portal button.

The new system is intended to provide reach-me-now ‘notification’, and not the next-of-kin ‘emergency contacts’ we’ve previously requested of our constituents.
